9th Creation Day in Lingen (Ems)
Data Fusion, the use of AI in inline inspection, our core business around EMAT, UT, MFL, or CAD/CAM programming—the topics on the 9th Creation Day were many and varied! Once again this year, our in-house exhibition in Lingen (Ems) was well attended. Visitors from all our sites in Germany and from Oldenzaal, Netherlands, came together for the event to exchange ideas on current topics.
In the morning, Markus Brors (Chief Technology Officer) and Erik Cornelissen (Chief Executive Officer) opened the event day in our well-attended Rotrium and then handed over to our colleague Kevin Siggers, Manager of Data Fusion Development, from Canada. In his keynote speech entitled “Unlocking the Potential of Data Fusion: Evolution, Results, and Applications,” he provided insights into our latest approaches to ILI metal loss integrity assessments.
After that, a variety of options were open to visitors. At 18 booths on seven different theme worlds, our colleagues could inform themselves and exchange ideas on various topics. This was not difficult, especially with the multitude of prototypes, test setups, videos, samples, and posters – as far as the eye could see, there was something new for everyone to discover. This provided numerous opportunities to get up to date on the projects and successes of various departments and to create connections for future collaborations.
The lively exchange also continued during exciting lectures, such as how artificial intelligence can support our ILI services. Test Center and Factory tours also provided a change of pace. These gave impressions of our activities at the Lingen site away from the Innovation Center and led some colleagues to areas of our premises that were previously unknown to them.
The popularity of the Creation Day for internal knowledge transfer was particularly evident from the number of visitors to the Rotrium. The buzz of the numerous conversations could be heard until the end of the event. We are already looking forward to the next Creation Day!
